The power of natural combinations

The use of natural materials and drawing inspiration from nature is one of the strongest trends at the moment, and it is not likely to slow down any time soon. Therefore, it is worth considering using materials of natural origin or materials that imitate them on the façade.

The Visage palette from Ceresit consists of plasters inspired by nature: wood, stone and concrete. Their application on a façade is an excellent solution when we want to visually enrich our façade and give it a unique character. It is also an excellent idea to highlight the distinguishing elements of a building, such as an entrance, bay window, etc. Products from the Visage palette are best suited to modern, Scandinavian, industrial and eclectic styles.

The Visage palette in all its glory

The palette offers a wide range of colours for wood effect plasters. This means that it can be matched to any façade colour and style. It is ideal for buildings in natural surroundings. Its big advantages over natural wood are speed of application, low cost and lack of maintenance.

The plaster with the concrete effect is also worth mentioning. The product is available in several versions differing in texture and shade of grey. It is perfect for finishing houses, offices or public buildings. It will match a modern style.

A very elegant solution is the stone effect, i.e. granite. It is perfect for highlighting a particular element of the building, but it can also be used on the whole façade. In contrast to natural granite, Ceresit products do not weigh down the façade, so that it remains stable and durable.

A brick-effect render is also available in the Visage palette . The two available stencils allow the brick effect to be achieved in stretcher bond and mock bond.

General rules for combining

In architecture there are several rules for combining effects and colours. If you choose a white or light grey plaster as your base, you can choose any effect to go with it. It is best to limit yourself to three finishes, i.e. plaster and a maximum of two effects. Wood can be combined with both stone and concrete effects. However, combining concrete with stone may not work.

The ideal combination for a modern style would be white, concrete and wood, for example WHITE DESERT from the Colours of Nature palette,DARK BROWN wood and ETNA GREY. In the Scandinavian style an interesting and very bold combination will be BENGAL TEAK and the AMBER PATH shade, while in the eclectic style we can be tempted by a variety of colours and finishes, e.g. ICELAND 1 with KONGO WENGE and CALIFORNIA SAND.

We can also apply a very interesting effect in the form of a monochromatic façade, but with materials of different textures, such as STROMBOLI 1 with SILVER GREY and TIBET 1. These are just some of the really many proposals from the Visage palette.
